· National Holiday Vacation - Different jurisdictions have specific days within a year in which citizens celebrate or mark particular events. These are however limited holidays and may only allow a short vacation.

The practice of taking vacation holidays and paying visits to various parts of the world has led to the establishment of businesses that specifically cater for those on vacation. Different professions also exist to offer quality services to those on vacation. Such businesses and professions include tour operators, tour guides, hotels, travel agents and others.
